The U.S. Mission comprises the Embassy in Berlin and five consulates in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Leipzig and provides a wide array of services and support as well as playing a vital role in German American relations. The U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Locksmith/Schlosser (Facilities Office).
Your Tasks
You will be a journeyman level locksmith-metal worker in the Facility Management section at the U.S. Consulate, and the Locksmith-Metalworker Maintenance Worker carries out scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and repair work on finish and interior assemblies, furnishings, and fixtures in all mission buildings and facilities, including residential owned and leased properties. The job holder would repair, adjust, and install lock hardware, metal fabrications, sunshades, and blinds at the Consulate office building compound, three (3) senior officer residences, and the staff housing complex consisting of 397 Apartments.
Your Profile
You have completed secondary school (Hauptschule or Realschule) and vocational training from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in LocksmithoMetalworker (Schlosser).
